July 24-31: Farmer’s Market Week
Our farmers markets are Southeast Ohio’s most local food shops. The tradition started 40 years ago with the Athens Farmers Market, which, at the height of the growing season, hosts markets on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Athens County is now home to three other farmers markets: the Nelsonville Farmers Market, Shade Community Market and Lakeside Farmers Market. And don’t miss the Chesterhill Produce Auction in neighboring Morgan County. This month, visit all of our farmers markets not only for the freshest produce of the season, but also to meet new friends and neighbors.
Taste a little bit of Athens County during Farmers Market Week at these area markets:

New vendors to the market include Bodhi Tree Farm, a certified organic farm on the property of the Bodhi Tree Guest House. Be sure to stop by Herbal Sage Tea booth, who have been proud members of the Athens Farmers Market for 15 years
