West Elementary Presents, “The Mad Adventures of Mr. Toad” | March 23, 6:30pm-8:00pm
With the aid of the West Arts Council for Children (WACC), the students of West Elementary will showcase hours of hard work and dedication in their annual presentation of “The Mad Adventures of Mr. Toad.” As tradition goes, the play is expected to be a huge hit and students are performing two separate showings on March 23 and March 24. Tickets will be sold starting at 5:30pm. Ticket prices are as follows: $6 for adults, $4 for children.
Carrie Rodriguez | March 24, 7:30pm
Stuart’s Opera House welcomes Austin-based singer-songwriter Carrie Rodriguez. A passionate performer, she effortlessly melds fiery fiddle playing, electrifying vocals and a fresh interpretation of new and classic songs with an “Ameri-Chicana” attitude. Tickets to the show are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Reserve your seats early while there’s still time!
Nelsonville Final Friday on the Square | March 26, 5:30pm-9:30pm
There’s no better reason to look forward to the end of the month than Nelsonville’s Final Fridays. The who’s who of shops and local vendors stay open past regular hours to allow the fun to last late into the night. This month’s Final Friday theme revolves around a Facebook photo contest. The lucky winner who captures the photo with the most likes is wins a collection of great prizes. Plus, at 7:00pm, Aaron Smith will host a special Lo-Fi Photography showing at Majestic Gallery that introduces the techniques behind processing film with coffee. Fridays are typically the start of the weekend, but Final Fridays are a celebration of the entire month! Come out to Nelsonville and experience all that there’s to offer.
Easter Buffet at Ohio University Inn | March 27, 10:00am-2:00pm
The Ohio University Inn is hosting a soiree featuring the Easter Bunny and a bounty of traditional delicacies including honey-roasted ham, fried chicken, made-to-order waffles and of course more pies, cakes and treats you can count. Get moving after the buffet with one of three egg hunts: 11:00am, 12:00pm and 1:00pm.
Easter Buffet at Burr Oak State Lodge | March 27, 12:00pm-4:00pm
Come hungry for Easter eggs and hardy food, because the Burr Oak State Lodge is also hosting an Easter egg hunt and buffet on Sunday that’s sure to fill any weary Easter Egg enthusiasts. After the children have finished tirelessly searching the grounds for the Easter bunny’s left-behind treasure, families are treated to a splendid spread of home-style foods including roast leg of lamb, pork loin chops, honey glazed ham, scalloped potatoes and much much more!
