Ohio Brew Week 2017

Ohio breweries will take over the taps in Athens from July 14-22 during the 12th annual Ohio Brew Week, a nine-day celebration of Ohio beers. Pair the best Ohio craft brews with super-local food and tons of entertainment during what is widely knows as the best week of the season to visit Athens.

Rock N Roast

Rock-N-Roast: Kick off Brew Week at the annual Rock-N-Roast at the Ohio University Inn and Conference Center. Sip craft brews on the patio from Jackie O’s, Little Fish, Devil’s Kettle and Maple Lawn. The beers will pair perfectly with the evening’s cuisine; BBQ! Enjoy brisket, chicken, pork and all the delectable sides.  Friday, July 14, Ohio University Inn and Conference Center, 5-9:30 p.m.



Betties & Brews: The Homecoming: Come out for the Appalachian Hell Betties’ first home bout since your grandmother skated with us! It’s a double header featuring the Betties vs. Ohio Roller Derby’s Green Machine, followed by a bout with the Silver Bridge Bruisers Roller Derby. Doors open at 4pm. First bout’s whistle: 5pm. Second bout will take place after the first bout and the halftime show– featuring MOBILE HOME! Local food & brews available for purchase. Saturday, July 15, Athens Community Center, 4:00-8:00 p.m. 



The Spikedrivers at Eclipse: Local Kiser’s BBQ, Ohio Craft Brews; featuring MadTree Brewing & live music at the Eclipse Company Store! A perfect Sunday setting to dine, dance and sip. Sunday, July 16, Eclipse Company Store & Beer Hall, 11309 Jackson Drive, The Plains, 3:00-6:00 p.m.



Official Ohio Brew Week Keg Tapping: Don’t miss the Ohio Brew Week keg tapping of Sparbock – a dark amber bock ale brewed to commemorate Ohio Brew Week originator, Jon Sparhawk! Monday, July 16, Jackie O’s Public House, 5:00 p.m.


5 Course food & beer pairing at Sol: One limited seating. Gourmet food made with Ohio craft brews and paired with those beers. Discussion from the owner covering restaurant history with Ohio Brew Week, the craft brewers and brews used. Reservation only, tickets available online HERE, $75/person. Monday, July 18th, Sol Restaurant, 33 N. Court St., 6-8 p.m.


Athens County Brewery Cruise: Explore four unique breweries and discover why Athens is quickly becoming Ohio’s craft beer destination. You’ll ride from stop to stop in an air-conditioned, restroom-equipped motor coach. Seating is limited for this unique guided bus tour, so sign up today. Ohio Brew Week Uptown Bar Tour: Enjoy a leisurely stroll through Athens and learn the colorful histories of the bars and buildings on Court Street. All tours start at the Southeast Ohio History Center, 24 W. State Street, Athens. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased by calling 740-592-2280 or at the start of the tour. Thursday, July 20, 4:00 p.m., Southeast Ohio History Center, 24 W. State St.





Last Call Street Festival: The ONLY way to end Brew Week -The annual Ohio Brew Week block party! We fill up Court Street from Carpenter to Washington, taking over the bricks with craft brews, food vendors and live music. This is the essential brew week experience.
