ACEnet has helped launch and grow hundreds of food businesses in the region and is a lead partner in the 30 Mile Meal Project. Their Food Ventures Center, a manufacturing and commercial kitchen shared-use facility is used by over 150 businesses every year. One of the first of its kind in the U.S., this facility provides production, storage, refrigeration, freezer, and distribution space for specialty food entrepreneurs.

ACEnet was incorporated in 1985 by a small group of community members committed to building a healthy regional economy in southeastern Ohio through the growth of locally owned businesses, especially those operated by lower income residents.

ACEnet staff provide basic shared and individual services that businesses need to start, expand, and create quality jobs. Office and light manufacturing space is available at below-market rates and often include shared office and specialty equipment and services that businesses would otherwise be unable to afford to purchase or lease on their own.

At the same time, staff encourages entrepreneurs to network with each other, sharing information and generating joint ventures (such as buying supplies together) that enable them to enjoy economies of scale typical of much larger businesses.

Business consulting services are also available to tenants at low-to-no cost rates.
