Ohio’s Energy Future Tour sixth and final stop is in Athens at the Athens Community Center. By the time the energy tour has finished its rounds around the state, hundreds of Ohioans will have had the opportunity to talk with energy experts, healthcare professionals, community leaders, and investors to discuss concerns as well as the future of energy throughout the state.

The Athens forum will provide an opportunity for panelists and audience members to offer their insights on the positive impacts renewable energy, energy efficiency and other clean, cost effective technologies are having in their local communities and the region.

The statewide tour is organized by a collaboration of businesses, trade associations, nonprofits and local governments and is intended to spark a dialogue with stakeholders in an effort to help develop a new energy vision that returns Ohio to a position of national leadership.

Those interested in attending the Athens event can register online here.

The event is co-sponsored by The Consortium for Energy, Economics & the Environment at the Ohio University Voinovich School for Leadership and Public Affairs.
