A night of poetry, music, and storytelling celebrating the Centennial year of William Stafford and A Ritual to Read Together: Poems in Conversation with William Stafford, a recent anthology edited by local Becca J.R. Lachman. This piece features new work by the likes of Robert Bly, Wendy McVicker, Toi Derricotte, Ted Kooser, and more. In keeping with Stafford’s lifelong commitment to nonviolence, this event is timed to coincide with the International Day of Peace and will feature both local and visiting writers. Books and poetry merchandise will be available for purchase. A Stafford-inspired poetry writing workshop and documentary viewing will also take place on Ohio U’s campus earlier in the day. Contact lachmanr@ohio.edu for more info. or if you’d like to read at the evening event. Suggested $5 donation at the door.
