The Athens Municipal Arts Commission and the City of Athens present a weekend-long celebration of the arts in Athens!

 

Friday, August 17th (5:30-7:30pm)
at The Athens Parking Garage
Athens Photo Project Youth Wheat Paste Art Exhibit
Featuring live music from Large Mouth Brass Band

 

Saturday, August 18th (12pm-9pm)
Union Street Main Stage
WESLEY BRIGHT and THE HONEY TONES
Adam Remnant Band, Ugata West African Drum & Dance, OVST, and more!

The celebration will be on Union St. from noon-9pm featuring an exciting line-up of local and regional music, art, poetry, and dance on our main stage brought to you by Hocking College School of Music. There will be food vendors: Dr. May’s Thai Kitchen and Cajun Clucker. Members of the Athens Art Guild will line the streets to sell their artwork and local non-profit arts organizations will be offering activities. Our friends at Stuart’s Opera House will be running the beer garden featuring Jackie O’s beer!

August 17th-18th
LIVE MUSIC at Casa, Donkey Coffee, Jackie O’s, and The Union!

Featuring: Large Mouth Brass Band, Coal Cave Hollow Boys, County Pharaohs, Slugg, Mobile Home, Red Lake, Slackluster, Peach Fuzz, Bret Anderson, Steve Zarate, Tail Winds, and many more. (the 20-year ACMF tradition continues with live music all over uptown Athens. Proceeds from these stages benefit Stuart’s Afterschool Music Program, ARTS/West & The Gathering Place)!
