Take a break from the cookout with Athens Eats!
Athens Eats! is your chance to take a break from the cookout and join with other community members to dine on the lawn at TailGreat Park with selected food vendors from your favorite local restaurants. The Menu will include a fresh twist on American pub fare starting with a 1/3 lb grilled Angus burger and a brioche bun. Many of the toppings will be locally sourced from famers and producers around the county. There will be soft drinks, homemade sodas, wine, beer, mead and cider also available
The event is scheduled for from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4 (Labor Day Weekend) and will be held outdoors at TailGreat Park across from the Convocation Center on the corner of Richland Ave & S. Shafer Street.
Admission to the event is FREE and there will also be LIVE MUSIC, a Cruise-In and a KidZone.
Guests can purchase food and beverage tokens that can be used throughout TailGreat Park to purchase any menu item or beverage. The tokens are purchased at face value ($2.00 each) and will be available in advance.
Inflatables and games, provided by Meigs Inflatables and the U.S. Army will be available for the duration of the event.
There will be a variety of beverages provided by Classic Brands, and representatives from Dutch Creek Winery and Shade Winery pouring libations. Proceeds from alcoholic beverage sales will benefit the Athens Catholic Community Food Pantry.

Food and Beverage Tokens
Food and drink tokens are valued at $2 each and can be used to purchase any food or beverage item at the event. If you purchase tokens in advance you will receive a complimentary souvenir cup and $24 in tokens This is a $6 savings over purchasing on event day.
When purchased you will receive a voucher for the number of tokens you have purchased which can be turned in for tokens on event day.
