Paper Circle: Opening Night: In, On, Of Paper, A National Juried Exhibition.Featuring works in, on, or of paper by 44 artists from 25 different states. The show includes a unique selection of contemporary Origami art, unique paper installations, artist books and more.
Stuart’s Opera House the Stuart’s Free Summer Concert Series on Final Fridays wraps up for the season with a high energy show from Athens’ own The Wild Honeybees! Free music right outside on the Square presented by Stuart’s, and a beer garden too! The Wild Honeybees are a 9-piece, New Orleans style R&B dance band, dedicated to bringing the power of a live horn section back to the dance stage.
The Majestic Galleries: Opening Night: The Second Sight This exhibition showcases the works of artists Alexander Aitken, Connaught Cullen, George Danhires, Jeff Garringer, JoAnn Giordano, Dennis Savage and Robert Peppers. with paintings, collages, prints, photography, assemblages and works on fabric.
Starbrick Cooperative Gallery: Opening Night: Wood ‘N Knit- A Family Affair ( Wizard’s Yard Sale VI / Warming Up For Winter II ) The finest in wooden whimsy and knitwear for the soul. Nelsonville Public Library: Opening Night: Enjoy the whimsical self-portraits of Charlie Touvell as he ponders “Do we make the Art or does the Art make us?” For Adults: Plan for Your Stuff 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm We all have stuff, and some of us have lots of stuff! Make better decisions for you and your family. Antique Appraisal Fair 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm Find out if it is treasure, trash, or something in-between! A strict limit of two items per person, please.
