The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway guarantees their guests a reliable and consistent gateway to a time when trains were the main mode of transportation across the United States. The HVSR provides a historical learning experience for the younger generations and a chance to relax and soak up the countryside of Southeastern Ohio for the older ones. They operate a regular train to Haydenville every Saturday and Sunday.

The train leaves at noon and is the shortest of their regular trips. The train departs the Nelsonville Depot for a round-trip ride along the historic Hocking River Valley. Sights along the ride include one of the remaining Hocking Canal locks and the Hocking River.

Duration of ride: Approximately one hour and thirty minutes
