Kid-Friendly Bird Hike on the Wayne National Forest

Date(s) - July 07, 2018
10:00 am - 11:00 am

Do you want your kids to have fun outside and grow up nature savvy? Then join us for a kid-friendly birdwatching hike on the beautiful Ora E. Anderson Nature Trail! We will be looking to the sky to see what birds we can discover. Binoculars and small bird guides will be provided.

NOTE THAT THIS MONTH’S EVENT WILL BE HELD AT THE ORA E. ANDERSON NATURE TRAIL (NEAR CARBON HILL), NOT OUR USUAL LOCATION AT WAYNE NATIONAL FOREST HEADQUARTERS. The 1/2 mile trail is fully accessible and suitable for families with young children in strollers (though strollers with large wheels will be easier to push). For directions, please use this link:

This event is part of our Wild Weekend Discovery Series for children aged preschool through 5th grade. Meet us on Saturday, July 7, 10 – 11 a.m. Please register in advance by calling 740-753-0542. Space is limited to 20 children.
