Athens County 101: Walking, Talking, and Enjoying Local Landscapes and History

With Hocking College’s Natural & Historical Interpretive Program Students
meet at Green Lawn Cemetery, 15550 Elm Rock Road, Nelsonville.
A short walk on grass with opportunities to wander. Wheelchair accessible.

After the cemetery walk, join us at the Nelsonville Public Library for some light refreshments, followed at 6:30 by Bigfoot: Lore and Legend, a talk with Doug Waller on the elusive hairy beast. Come learn more about Bigfoot lore in Athens County!

  • a series of walks through the county led by local enthusiasts highlighting historical and natural landmarks
