Return to the red bricks you know and love at Ohio University and Athens during the 2015 Homecoming celebration! See old friends and make new ones during this time-honored event. Featured activities include:

2015 Homecoming Parade, Saturday October 10th at 10 a.m: Hosted by the Campus Involvement Center in the Division of Student Affairs. The 2015 Homecoming Parade will celebrate “Same Bricks, Different Stories” with spirited floats, banners, and displays representing both the University and the surrounding community.

2015 PARADE ROUTE:

  • Start at the intersection of Union and Factory Street
  • Head up Union Street and make a right onto South Congress
  • Make a left onto President Street
  • Make a right onto Court Street
  • Go past Baker onto Park Place
  • Parade ends at the end of Park Place

Monday, October 5, 2015
8:00 a.m. – Paint the Town (Office included) Green

During Homecoming Week, the Student Alumni Board (SAB) and Campus Involvement Center (CIC) will partner with local businesses and university departments in a decorating contest to spread Bobcat spirit. Organizations can get creative about how they spread the Bobcat Spirit! Paint a window or decorate the office in OHIO’s green and white!  Prizes for both local businesses and university departments will be awarded! Information HERE.

Thursday, October 8, 2015
8:00 a.m. – Ohio University Archives Annual Homecoming Display at Alden Library
Stop by Alden to explore the archives of Ohio University’s long history including student newspapers, photographs, yearbooks, maps, historic event posters, handbooks and other Ohio University memorabilia that will be piled high.

8:30 p.m. – Pep Rally at Baker University Parking Lot
One of our best-attended signature Homecoming events, this year’s Pep Rally will feature the Marching 110 and The Singing Men of Ohio. Help ramp up Bobcat spirit in anticipation of Saturday’s matchup against Miami, and collect unique OHIO giveaways!

Friday, October 9, 2015
8:00 a.m. – Ohio University Archives Annual Homecoming Display at Alden Library
Stop by Alden to explore the archives of Ohio University’s long history including student newspapers, photographs, yearbooks, maps, historic event posters, handbooks and other Ohio University memorabilia that will be piled high.

5:00 p.m. – Historical Hayrides at The Ridges
Ride in a horse-drawn wagon, tour the former Athens Asylum and learn how OHIO has utilized this historic site.

Saturday, October 10, 2015

10:00 a.m. – Homecoming Parade at Union Street, Court Street
It’s that time, Bobcats! Come out for the 2015 Homecoming Parade! Sponsored by University Program Council, you’ll see spirited floats, banners and displays representing both the University and the surrounding community.

2:00 p.m. – Bobcat Bash at Pepsi Tailgreat Park
Get pumped for OHIO to take on Miami! Enjoy music, picnic food, beverages (including beer and wine) family-friendly games and OHIO giveaways for one price.

2:00 p.m. – OHIO vs. Miami at Peden Stadium
For Homecoming 2015 game tickets visit the OHIO Athletics website or reserve your tickets by calling (800) 575-2287.  Look for the Athens County CVB inside the stadium for the annual green sunglasses giveaway!

After the game, there’s still time for shopping, dining and celebrating in Uptown Athens!  Celebrate responsibly by using a Local Taxi Service when necessary.
