Trombonist/composer Michael Davis has enjoyed a diverse and acclaimed career over the past three decades. He has toured and recorded with a variety of artists including the Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, James Taylor, Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, Aerosmith, Sheryl Crow, Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga, Branford Marsalis, Jay Z, Sarah Vaughan, Terence Blanchard, Sting, Paul Simon, Bob Mintzer, Peter Gabriel, David Sanborn and Buddy Rich. He has appeared on over 600 CDs, motion picture and television soundtracks. Through his publishing company Hip-Bone Music, he has released 10 CDs as a solo artist, composed over 150 works, and authored 13 books. In 2011, the S.E. Shires Company released the Michael Davis signature trombone and followed that in 2015 with the release of the Michael Davis + signature trombone.
