Stargazing, Telescopes, and the Planets in the Night Skies Over Stewart, Ohio

Experience a night with the planets in Stewart, Ohio at the Federal Valley Resource Center on Friday, July 8th beginning at dusk. Three planets and the crescent Moon will grace the early evening sky in July.

Ohio University Astronomy Instructors, George Eberts and Tom O’Grady, will have telescopes on hand for visitors to view the rings of Saturn, the moons of Jupiter, the planet Mars and the craters on the Moon.

Visitors will also be treated to a view of the constellations in the night sky. The village of Stewart, Ohio has exceptionally dark skies and are good for night viewing of the heavens.

In the event of rain the program will be rescheduled to Saturday, July 9th at the same time.

The stargazing event will occur at the Federal Valley Resource Center, 8225 State Route 329, Stewart, Ohio.
