Date(s) - February 13, 2016
The Wild Honeybees are teaming up with The Ohio University Performing Arts and Concert Series to put on a very special Mardi Gras Celebration on Saturday, February 13th, at the Templeton Blackburn Memorial Auditorium. For that evening, the 1800+ square foot stage itself will be transformed into a giant dance floor and party space.
• The event is free and open to the public (a donation of $5 – $10 is suggested in order to pay the musicians).
• A variety of tasty southern-style snacks will be made available free of charge. Beverages available for purchase (cash only)
• Guests are encouraged to dress up in the Mardi Gras tradition. If you should fail to do so, however, have no fear! A selection of beads, masks, feathers, and other Mardi Gras fashion accessories will be available free of charge at the door. Warning: first come, first served, so don’t be late!
The Wild Honeybees are known for their powerful and infectious dance groove, and we plan on putting together an evening to remember. Don’t miss it!
(Please note that Mardi Gras itself (Fat Tuesday), is, of course, on a Tuesday, and this year falls on February 9th. We are planning our celebration for Saturday February 13th so that more people will be able to attend.)
