The annual Writers Harvest, which benefits hunger relief efforts, features renowned local writers reading from their work. This year’s line up includes local nonfiction writer Dinty W. Moore and poet David Sanders, plus fiction writer Gwen E. Kirby and poet Kathryn Nuernberger. A reception will follow.
The benefit, hosted by Ohio University’s Creative Writing program, is part of the nation’s largest reading series devoted to helping fight hunger. The goal for this year’s event is to raise $1,000 for Hocking Athens Perry Community Action and the local food bank, the Southeastern Ohio Food Bank’s Second Harvest.
