Celebrate the Holiday Season All Month Long in Nelsonville, Ohio

Each year Nelsonville puts on its holiday best to create a wonderful hometown holiday experience for all. Shop the historic Public Square, ride the Santa train, take in a show and visit with Santa!

Final Friday on the Square: “Black Friday” Holiday Shopping Alternative |
Discover unique handmade items that cannot be found at the malls, plus giveaways, raffles and more! Many shops on the Square will be open extended hours.

Hocking Valley Scenic Railway Santa Trains | Dates and Times vary
Visit with Santa while enjoying the scenic winter landscape of the Hocking River Valley. Santa trains begin Saturday, November 26th and continue each Saturday and Sunday through Sunday, December 18th. Two trains will depart the Nelsonville Depot at 11am and 2pm for a trip to East Logan and back. Evening Santa Trains will occur on Saturday December 3rd and 10th at 6:00pm.

Watch the Public Square come alive with lights and Christmas cheer.

Christmas Parade |
Welcome Santa to town during the annual Christmas parade. Stop by Santa’s Workshop to visit with him after the parade.

Fireman’s Breakfast |
Join the Nelsonville Fire Department for their Annual Fireman’s Breakfast. It will take place at Elk’s Lodge in Nelsonville.

The Littlest Angel |
Presented by ABC Players, this family show tells the story of a little shepherd boy, newly arrived in Heaven, struggling to adjust to life in the Hereafter.

Winter Wine Express |
Join Stuart’s Opera House for a train ride on the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway for our Winter Wine Express! Enjoy some wine and cheese and other treats while taking a ride through the Hocking Valley. All proceeds benefit Stuart’s Opera House!
