Bike the Brewed on the Bikeway Trail: It seems that almost everyone’s New Year’s resolutions include exercising more. Why not make it fun? Grab your friends and hit the trail! The Hockhocking Adena Bikeway runs 21 miles and connects Athens and Nelsonville. Several award-winning craft breweries, a craft beer hall and a cider house are accessible from the Brewed on the Bikeway trail. If you don’t own a bike, you can rent your own at any of the local bike shops.

Cheer on our beloved teams
: Make it a goal to attend more Bobcat sporting events or a Copperheads game during the summer months. Learn the game and cheer on your favorite team. Attend a football game in the fall and discover what it means to be a Bobcat. During the cooler months, head to the Convocation Center for a basketball game. Order some peanuts and cracker jacks at a Copperheads game in the summertime. Whichever sporting event you go to, you’ll be supporting local Athens teams.
