Kayaking in search of birds

Date/Time
Date(s) - April 18, 2020
3:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Experience birding by kayak with Athens’ birder, Stefan Gleissberg. Stefan and Touch the Earth Adventures are teaming up to take you in search of Bald Eagle, Osprey, Kingfisher, Cormorant, Herons, songbirds and more in the headwaters of Burr Oak State Park. This unique area is composed of a variety of habitat, from open water to mudflats and forested creek edges.

Kayaks, equipment and trip guidance is provided by Touch the Earth Adventures. Stefan will help us find, identify and better understand the lives of birds.

The quietness of winter is breaking into birdsong as our feathered messengers return to Ohio and carry their music over the earth. Come join Stefan and Mimi of Touch the Earth Adventures.

No experience is needed. Ages 16+ welcome. Space is limited. Call, text, or email to book your spot.

Cost: $70 per person ($45 with own kayak); $35 deposit due upon booking, full payment due March 21, 2020
