Join us the Southeast Ohio History Center for an evening of History and Mystery as we welcome organist Dennis James back to Athens! This year, we are honoring the work of Edgar Allen Poe with two interpretations of one of his most famous short stories, The Tell-Tale Heart. The first portion of our program will be a live performance of the 1941 Inner Sanctum Mysteries broadcast of The Tell-Tale Heart, performed by the Actors’ Moveable Theater and Dennis James. Following a brief intermission, Dennis will accompany the 1914 silent film, The Avenging Conscience, starring Henry B. Walthall and Blanche Sweet, and directed by D.W. Griffith.

Doors will open at 5:15, and dinner will be served at 5:30. The performance will begin at 6:00. Purple Chopstix is once again providing the meal for the event. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.
