The Little Red Caboose is an icon of many childhood stories and of nostalgic times of the past. The largest of our five historical trains at 31 feet, this Missouri Pacific artifact sits at the place of honor … the end of the line. The only train with the original metal water tank anchoring the ceiling in the queen bedroom, this train’s design is industrial. From the large metal chandelier hanging in the window-lined cupola over the kitchenette and dining area, to the oxidized tile accenting the toddler reading nook/sleeping area, to the steampunk lighting, this caboose is truly heavy metal. This design inspiration continues outside onto the full length covered porch with steel-frame sofa, aggregate terrazzo dining table and the comfiest rockers EVER! The additional 360 square feet of outdoor living and dining space is the perfect place to enjoy the green of the fields below or the sherbet sunsets just beyond the tree-lined river. Off the porch, down a flagstone walkway, you’ll find your own Weber propane grill and fire pit set under the wide-open country sky. All aboard this nostalgic icon!
