Learn the fundamentals of Blacksmithing by making a J Hook with Mike Hoop of Coal Township Forge. Class will be hosted at Federal Valley Resource Center in Stewart, Ohio.

The students will learn about hand forging techniques such as bending, twisting and drawing out steel and the operation of a propane forge.

Registration is required as workshop space is limited to ensure high quality instruction. This workshop is offered on the sliding scale of $75-$300, due upon registration via the link below. Coal Township Forge is a one-man blacksmith shop run by Mike Hoops from New Straitsville, Ohio. Mike has been Blacksmithing for 11 years and learned from Brian Brazeal. He specializes in crafting hand-forged tools and custom items, while also sharing his passion by teaching others the art of blacksmithing.
